Nutrition classes for PPA parents
Parents receive certificates, January 26
Classes for PPA parents about Nutrition were taking place from October 2017 to the end of January 2018. The parents participates in workshops and health guidance during the time that they are waiting for their children to come back from the traditional Peruvian classes. Ms Susan Torres, Community Educator from Cornell University Cooperative Extension was in charge of the nutritional classes.
A PPA student was selected in Peru to dance for The Pope during his visit
The Pope Francisco visited Trujillo, Peru in January 2018. Kimberly Rojas student that learned to dance marinera norteña in Pachamama Peruvian Arts in Jackson Heights, NY, was selected in Peru to dance for the Pope together with boys and girls from Peru and others that came from all America’s countries.
